Orange Heating Supplies can supply hot water cylinders for everyday hot water demands from the smallest water heaters for small projects (Under 25L) to large commercial hot water cylinders. (5000L)
The design and size of the cylinder needed for each project is dependant on the system to which it is being connected to, should you need to connect to a heat pump system, then the cylinder design is slightly different because of the coil dimensions of the cylinder, the coil dimensions are directly related to the kW of the heat pump. Since the 1990’s the UK has allowed the use of unvented cylinders. This is a cylinder that uses the water main pressure to supply water to the outlets. Before then the only option was to have a vented cylinder which required a storage tank, normally situated in the loft. Most installations are now unvented, which means all the water in the house is potable.
Most properties will heat hot water via a boiler, The cylinder will need to have a coil to separate heating water away from tap water, this cylinder is called indirect. If you also have solar thermal hot water system then you will require a solar compatible cylinder with a second coil. Should you have neither of these systems then you will need a direct cylinder which uses an immersion heater.
All cylinders sold by Orange Heating Supplies come with full installation kits (including expansion vessel and G3 compliant installation kit) suitable either as a replacement cylinder or a new installation.
